Who Leads the GOP? Glenn Beck? Rush? Palin?

The Republican Party needs a makeover.

But don't take our word for it. We're just repeating the misgivings of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who has expressed his concern over the increased significance of such right-wing figures as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin.

These folks are becoming the de facto representatives of the GOP, despite their fringe appeal and frequent missteps.

Their appearance on the cover of this week's Weekly Standard has concerned Gingrich. Unlike the GOP screamers and blowhards, Gingrich is actually a knowledgeable and accomplished legislator.

The story, from Think Progress, is here.

He is just upset that there are others in the Republican Party that are now exercising their ability to motivate the party instead of the old hacks who have been controling the partyfor decades & keep giving us a presidential candidate that no one really wants big govt. spending, contintual foreign wars).

There is a new book that is about a small town in Oklahoma that stands up to federal tyranny. It's inceptive & great cause they end up starting the 2nd American Revolution. It's a great read & it happens in Oklahoma.

I'm sure looking forward to Palin, Beck, Bachmann, or any other of the plethora of crazies in the GOP pantheon getting the Presidential nomination next time.

Crazy AND stupid just may be out of style by then.
